THE ARK PROJECT
EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS STRATEGIES
The ARK Project is a combination of three related but independent sub projects united by a similar objective - to save lives in a natural disaster event.
PREPAREDNESS IS THE KEY
TO FIND THE WAY
TO A SAFE SITE
The “SCENARIO” board game is an educational and research-based interactive game series that combines experimental learning, co-operative decision-making and entertainment to grapple with different hazard scenarios and learn efficient and adaptive ways to educate and learn about potential disaster events.
P.E.G.S is a way-finding system that can be easily incorporated into a city’s infrastructure as an add-on or as a replacement for an existing disaster alert system that has been designed to provide universal and intuitive audio-visual navigational signals to guide the public in case of a life threatening event requiring evacuation to a safe site, or from a hazardous perimeter.
The ARK is a universal, simple and cost effective architectural feature design to function as a shielded floating vessel. To provide an immediate safe zone and to shelter all members of the population in the event of a water-based natural hazard.
